The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency have been collecting information on the Project.
The DFO must ask Aboriginal Peoples and the public for their opinion and advice. The DFO will prepare a First Nations Consultation Plan and a Public Consultation Plan.
Meetings have been in communities near the Lower Mattagami Hydroelectric
Complex. These meetings were announced in newspaper advertising, newsletters, libraries and other ways.
MCFN members have been informed through a series of communcation sessions, designed to inform members of the various parts of the Amisk-oo-Skow agreement.
At any time, Moose Cree membership may contact the Moose Cree Resource Protection office or the Moose Cree First Nation office for more information.
